Lina Stores, Kings Cross - Restaurant
When conceiving the interior concept, designers Red Deer wanted to celebrate the history of the original Lina Stores which has been a stalwart of the Soho scene for over 75 years. As a result, this new 127-cover venue has many elements of its Soho sisters including the iconic pistachio green and white colour palette and is a broader homage to London's archetypal mid-century delicatessens.
Chrome and aluminium barstool frame & table base finishes pair with dark stained ash and white Formica laminate table tops for a quintessentially retro feel. Private booths covered by Dutch canopies and long banquettes provide more intimate seating for a multiplicity of use. The midcentury design of the Julie Side Chair, in ILP leather's vivacious Contempo Maldive, blends perfectly with other period elements such as the green and white marble floor, retro mosaics and reclaimed opaline globe lights.
